Low’s Champion Bush Bean Seeds

$4.00

An American heirloom bush bean from New England dating to 1889, introduced by the Aaron Low Seed Company of Boston. Some hypothesise that this may be an old strain of the ‘Dwarf Cranberry’ bean. Makes a great snap bean and can also produce an abundance of dried seed. Very popular in New England, as it can do well even in cooler, wetter summers. Dried seed is burgundy, with a rounded shape; similar to cranberries. I thought this was a great bean variety and it’s a wonder that it isn’t more popular.  2020 seed.
