Halbhohe Reiser Bush Bean

A European heirloom bean with an unknown country of origin. I believe the name translates to something like ‘half way traveller’ or ‘half grown’ which may be an allusion to its height since it is a bush bean. A very nice early maturing bean, in a lovely pastel yellow shade. It has no dark ring about its eye, so there is a peaceful quality to its aesthetic. Given I had incorrect information about its growth habit, I only planted 3 or 4 plants and still it provided a great deal of seed. Very nice bean. A dry bean, not sure if it can be eaten green yet.¬† 2022 seed.¬†¬†Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Artur Kobylecki, Kielce, Poland.
