Canon City Pole Bean Seeds

A very intriguing bean that I grew for the first time in 2023, it can be used in all stages of growth – snaps, shelly beans and dry. The bean pod texture is rough. The size of this bean is enormous, similar to the footlong ‘Paul Bunyan Giant’, though these pods are an electric bright pink. They are later maturing beans, but for such a large bean pod and similar seed, it dried down in time for me to collect seeds. An impressive and rare variety. Bean seeds are beige with black flecking, quite large too. Excellent yields. Rare. 2023 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Chris Hoetschel, Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
