Tom Thumb Popcorn Seeds
$4.00
A dwarf popcorn that is extraordinarily early to mature and extremely productive. Can be spaced quite close together as well, at 6 inch intervals. A small patch can produce a great deal of popcorn. Kernels are bright yellow and very smooth, on 6 to 7 inch cobs. Cobs are often done drying on the plant in early August. A wonderful variety, especially for short season areas or summers with poor weather. Reliable and hardy. The kernels have always popped perfectly for me. A corn that should be more widely known & grown given it’s many fantastic qualities. A great thing about growing corn for popcorn instead of for fresh eating is, the window of harvest for fresh corn is very short whereas with popcorn you can enjoy your corn all winter long in the form of popped kernels. Win – win all the way. And you can still load up with butter too.
