Sylvano’s Pole Bean Seeds

A family heirloom bean from New Jersey, grown there for over 100 years. An Italian romano type bean, with thick fat green pods for eating fresh. Plants are quite tall and vigorous, and pods set is nearly insane. They do take their sweet time to mature their seed, and I had to dry it down indoors. It was one of my last varieties to dry up, ugh. The seeds are black, and not especially pretty with a slightly rough textured skin. Fantastic snap bean variety.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
