Soissons Verte Pole Bean Seeds

A European heirloom from France, with such a delightful colour, a very minty green. The seeds were large too – most minty green beans I’ve grown have been rather small, but these are much larger with a shape that is a little flattened. Truly prolific variety and I harvested a great deal of seed from a mere 3 plants. I believe its uses are in shelling and as a dry bean. For reasons unknown to me, this is a rather unknown variety, though there is a white Soissons bean that is more common. This is a real gem that I hope is adopted by more growers given how rare it is. A bean worth saving.  2022 seed.
