Saint Sacrament Bush Bean Seeds

A fabulous Canadian heirloom from Quebec, with a wonderful story much like the legendary ‘Monstrance’ bean. Apparently, this bean from Kamouraska was sanctified when on Corpus Christi cows prevented the procession from passing and they had to detour into a nearby field. Thereafter the wax beans that were growing there, once dried down, showed a brown figure over the eye of the previously pure white seeds. These lovely lemon yellow wax beans are excellent for eating as snaps, but can also be used as a dry bean. Very nice production, one of the better yellow varieties I’ve tried. Early to mature. Rare. 2023 seed.
