A new bean on the scene, ‘Paulchen’ is pure eye candy. A bean for dry use, the seeds are half white and half speckled stone pink, looking much like powdered candy somehow. The bushes are extremely productive, and I harvested a fair bit of seed even though the plants were grown in new soil containing no rhizobium bacteria. A bean variety found in the garden of Solja Kaltenbach from Bienenbüttel, Germany. Rare. 2024 seed.
