Lazy Red Wife Pole Bean Seeds

Another extremely rare bean variety whose origins are shrouded in mystery. What I do know about this bean is that my donor received them from a man in Hercules, South Africa. These beans therefore are possibly from that area as I believe the collector was sending out seed samples from his country in the hopes that they would be grown elsewhere and preserved, as many regional varieties were disappearing. These beans may be for use as snap beans, but I can only vouch for them as dry beans for now. The seeds are a pinkish red, like large jelly beans, early to dry down and good producers. Fairly large bean seeds. A very nice bean variety. 2023 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
