Landfrauen Pole Bean Seeds

A Swiss heirloom pole bean. Produces loads of delicious fresh green snap beans streaked in purple. Name translates to the graceful ‘Lady of the Land’. Extremely productive variety that is easy to save seed from, even in the north. A truly superb bean and one of my absolute favourites in 2021. A very rare variety in both the US and Canada. Dry seeds are beige with dark brownish flecks. A European gem that needs to be more widely grown as it is endangered.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
