Giele Waldbeantsje Bush Bean

A European dry bean variety. Vigorous plants produce very well. The seeds are a bright hot yellow – fluorescent mustard and slightly elongated. Known in the Netherlands as the ‘Yellow Forest Bean’. This productive Friesian heirloom has been grown for countless generations. Beautiful seed. Matured a little late for my area, but still managed to make it. Friesland, or Frisia, is a province in the northern part of the Netherlands, south of the Wadden Sea.  2021 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Mandy Boticna, Tyndall, Manitoba.
