A hardy bush bean for dry use. Extremely early to dry down and very high yielding. Not to be confused with ‘Early Refugee’ a completely different bean that was once canned commercially in Ontario. These beans were grown by the Leibrant Family in Whatcom County, in Northwest Washington State, for a century. I was sent these seeds by a generous seed saver in the Pacific Northwest, and I’m grateful because these beans did so well for me. A great food security variety. 2024 seed.
