Old heirloom pole bean, possibly a landrace. My initial seed produced 2 seed types – black, and black flecked with a golden grey. This is the black seeded version, whose dried pods were thin and dark purple. Can possibly be eaten young, or used as a dry bean. Rare. There are several varieties of cornplanter beans in circulation. 2021 seed.
