Demeter’s Tears Tomato Seeds

Several years ago, I grew a cherry tomato called ‘Verdo Claro’. In my next grow-out of it, I could see that it had become crossed. This seldom happens for me so I was rather curious what the end result would be like. I was actually not a huge fan of Verdo Claro, since its mint green colour at maturity makes it so difficult to identify ripeness, but the taste was very good (if you close your eyes). It would be impossible to know with certainty what it became crossed with, but ‘Reisenstraube’ was nearby. The resulting tomato had muddy brownish red skin and a pure mint green interior – and the taste was fabulous. Really, really a worthwhile tomato. It’s been stable for about 3 years for me. I let my daughter name it.
