A Chinese variety, apparently popular in Northeast China. Very large pods, substantial and meaty. I have quite enjoyed all the Chinese bean varieties I’ve tried, across the board they have been very well bred for maximize size and tenderness for cooking. Pods are not so much long, but wide and thick. The pods dry down in light green with flaming hot red coloration. A really good snap bean type. Seeds are beige, round and flecked with burgundy. 2024 seed.
