A special bean found in a village near Omsk, Russia. The name translates to mean ‘Giant Grain from Omsk’. The bush plants are remarkably large, much larger than the average bush bean plants. They are also very early to mature, and were one of the first beans to dry down in 2024. I believe the green beans can be eaten when young, but given the name I’m thinking this is more likely for use in cooking. Very large seeds are cream colored with purple flecking, the immature pods are green with purple flecks. 2024 seed.
