This is a bean I picked up from a Seedy Saturday event here in Sudbury. The stationary envelope that held a small number of seeds said only ‘Wendy’s Late Brother – In – Law’ so that is the name I’ve decided to go with for it. You never know what to expect with these unknown kinds of acquisitions but this turned out to be a real standout in the 100+ varieties I grew in 2025. Very early, enormous yields, deliciously tender pencil type pods. Really wonderful cooking bean. Oddly, though the bean plants were all perfectly uniform the seeds were of 2 kinds, white and greyish blue brown. Very unusual specimen indeed. One of those great finds! If any of my Sudbury people, especially the Horticultural Society, have more information please contact me!
