Sunset Runner Bean Seeds

Tall vines are covered in very large, pastel pink blossoms. Produces huge bean seeds that dry to purple speckled with black. In the U.K. these very large, roughly textured green beans are actually much preferred over the smooth P.vulgaris green beans we eat here in North America. So it’s somewhat of a mystery why I’ve never tried eating them, or even met anyone who eats these. I guess they have such unusually attractive flowers that we’ve all just come to think of them as plants to grow only for their beauty. Needless to say, they are quite productive as most runner beans tend to be. I collected over 5 pounds of dried seeds from 10 plants.  2022 seed.
