Serpette Guilloteaux Shelling Pea Seeds

The Serpette Guilloteaux climbing pea is an old and vigorous variety of climbing pea, with excellent productivity and large pods.  Its named for the famous Guilloteaux pruning knife, in reference to its ability to produce long, curved pods, reminiscent of the shape of this cutting tool.  An heirloom landrace regional cultivar whose French folk name stuck in seed lists.  It has no formal breeding history and was likely a regionally grown pea, now preserved by heirloom seed companies and backyard growers.  Sweet green peas.  Climbs to 5 or 6 feet.  Thanks so much to Jan for sending these! 20 seeds/packet.
