Schwarze Witwe Pole Bean Seeds

Old European heirloom from Switzerland. A pole bean variety that can be used both for yellow snaps, as well as for use as a dry cooking bean. Plants mature in good time to collect seeds, which are a sublime shade of purplish blue with cream flecks in a jelly bean shape. Shiny. The name translates to ‘Black Widow’ which is a bit mystifying. Very nice production, yield was great. Rare. 2023 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
