Ruth Bible Pole Bean Seeds

$4.00

An old Appalachian pole bean from Kentucky, very productive plants. Grown by the Bouy Family in Kentucky as far back as 1832. For use as a green snap bean. May need to be de-stringed, some of the old, old Appalachian heirlooms are like that. The selective work to remove strings is also said to have selected away from excellent flavor. Some Southerners prefer strings because they feel the beans taste better. A really special old timey bean that I’m so glad to have! Seeds are milk chocolate colored and somewhat almost shaped. 2024 seed. Price: $4.00
