There are so many peas with the ‘Russian’ in the name it can be easy to get them confused, many of them seem to come from Manitoba as well. This ‘Russian Sugar’ was brought to Saskatchewan by Mennonites and it is a TALL variety, up to 6 feet. It is a really magnificent producer, and I was able to harvest a lot of peas from the plants even though they had some late afternoon shade on them. Very nice! Seeds are light green speckled in purple. 2024 seed.
