Robinson Shelling Pea Seeds

Tall vines to 6 feet, with delicious sweet peas.  According to the Heritage Seed Library in the UK these peas originate in Scotland, and are presently offered by the company Seeds of Scotland.   Seeds originally given to HSL were grown in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire since the 1950s and were acquired from a fellow named Mr. Robinson, who got them in Scotland.  According to Adam Alexander of the Seed Detective website, “This is a very fine pea and, in my opinion, the best tasting of all the British bred peas. Crops well over a long season if picked regularly. Expect heavy crops of long pods with medium-sized sweet and yummy peas inside!”  Many thanks to Jan for the seeds!  20 seeds/packet.
