Piatella Pole Bean Seeds

European heirloom bean. For dry use. Heritage Italian pole bean. Also goes by the names ‘Piatella Canavesa’, ‘Piatella San Giorgio’, ‘Cortereggio’. Has a long history in the Italian area of Canavese, near the Orco River. A beautiful, large, flat white cooking bean known for its thin skin. Grown for generations. A very productive pole bean that matures early in the season. Rare in Canada. 8 plants produced over 1 lb of dried beans.  2021 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
