Paul Bunyan Giant Pole Bean Seeds

What a giant bean, this is a crazy giant bean. It definitely hit a foot long. I’m not sure if this is a bean for fresh eating or dry, judging by the look of the pods I’m guessing both. Heritage Foods Crop Research Trust in New Zealand seems to be the original source for these beans, and even their website has a request under the bean listing for more information regarding this variety. This is a rare bean, not offered by many. Dried seeds are a creamy beige and are speckled in inky black flecks that contrast sharply when the seeds are freshly shelled. Seeds are not round but flat, and they are slightly curved. Highly unusual. 2023 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
