Mr. Fearn’s Semi-Runner Bean Seeds

A terrific English heirloom bean, produced tender green beans all summer long. Production was truly incredible, despite my trimming back the vines to fit my much too short supports many times. Excellent table quality pods, and despite taking quite some time to finally go to seed I was able to harvest every pod I had allowed to dry down, with none to waste. A favourite bean of 2020. This bean originates with Mr. Bernard Fearn who donated it to the HSL; he had been growing this bean since WWII in England, though he indicated that these beans had been around long before that time. One of the best.
