Mont D’Or Dwarf Butter Bean Bush Seeds

An old European heirloom yellow wax bean, dating to the 1800’s. Country of origin is France, where it was listed by Vilmorin in 1885. It also went by the name ‘Mont D’Or Dwarf Butter Bean’. Pods grow to about 4 or 5 inches. Tasty beans, for a wax type. The seeds are pretty too, drying down to look like very small, shiny black marbles. Strangely, Mont D’Or is also the name of a famous cheese described as ‘the holy grail of raw milk cheeses.’ The cheese must be yellow!  2022 seed.
