Minnesota 1949’s Bush Bean Seeds

An American heirloom bean that was collected in the 1940’s; HHS indicates that this bean likely pre-dates the 1940’s. This is a bean for dry use as far as I know. The seed is white with a thick chocolate brown marking across the top of the bean and often has a couple brown spots on some of the white area. A very handsome bean with a unique coloration. It dried down very easily, long before the first frost.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
