Llaminera Pole Bean Seeds
$4.00
A wonderful European heirloom variety, can be eaten as green pods but is traditionally eaten as a dry bean in its place of origin St. Vicenc del Horts, Spain. These special beans originate with a Spanish Catalan seed preservation group, who work to protect local varieties from disappearing. This bean is a wonderful reminder how important these old heirlooms are; this variety is high yielding, about a pound for 4 plants, robust and also very, very early to dry down. A superb bean find that I’m lucky to have found, name seems to translate to mean ‘snack bar’ or ‘sweet tooth’. Seeds are a claret colour with apricot flecks, on the smaller side and jelly bean shaped. 2023 seed. Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Artur Kobylecki, Kielce, Poland.
