Fissole Rassacher Pole Bean Seeds

I wish I knew more about this bean, because it was one of my most amazing pole varieties for 2022. Produced an astonishing amount of beans & seeds – AND in a bad bean year. It had very curved, crescent shaped pods, green heavily splashed with purple. I believe this is a snap bean, and it is a mega producer. Three plants collapsed the pole (which was actually a small, de-limbed tree) with the weight of the beans. The seeds are gorgeous too, a deep purple/navy with slight cream flecks. Seed shape is a bit like jelly beans. I thought this bean was absolutely fantastic and was glad that I gave it a shot given I had no information about it other than it was collected by that wonderful seed hunter Joseph Simcox. The name doesn’t seem Italian to me, but I can’t help but wonder if this may be an Italian variety as there are a few famous ‘shrimp’ beans (crescent podded) that Italy is famous for. Wherever it comes from, it’s great.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
