A traditional landrace bean from Vall Fosca, in the Lleida region of Pallars Jussà, registered in the municipality of La Torre de Cabdella. A bean for dry use. Slightly later maturing, the production of these beans more than makes up for it. Seeds are marble shaped, dark purple flecked in beige. A seed I received from the enormous collection of Artur Kobylecki of Kielce, Poland. Excellent Spanish bean. 2024 seed. The name translates to mean ‘feed (to the full) the poor bean’, in Catalan.
