Cara La Virgen De La Bañera León

European heirloom from Spain. The beans name translates from Spanish to “Face Of Our Lady Of La Bensza in Leon”. Presumably, the bean’s origin is Leon, Spain. A dry bean (as far as I know, I didn’t try them green) that is tri-colored – ivory, overlaid with flesh pink tone, speckled in cherry wine. The vines grew to at least 12 feet, just huge! This is a later maturing variety and does well as transplants. Excellent production. Rare. 2023 seed.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
