Buckskin Girl Bush Bean Seeds

An endangered variety from the U.S. that was once carried by 2 different seed companies, and is now at risk of being lost. It’s a green snap bean, but for me it’s the seed that is pretty incredible – smokey grey with tones of both deep navy as well as deep purple and a black lacquer splotch over the eye. I believe it’s a soil sensitive type and may have slightly different colouring in other soils. My 2021 grow out was a bust, but in 2022 it did fantastic and I’m happy to finally be able to offer seed of this variety in the hopes that it finds its way into the hands of other growers. This is one that home gardeners can save from disappearing if it’s shared. A great bean, and I’d say it’s smashing good looks were beaten only by Rotebeerbohne in my 2022 grow outs.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Russ Crow, Woodstock, Illinois.
