Heirloom pole bean preserved among the Quaker farmers of southeastern Pennsylvania and South Jersey. Pre – 1800. The name refers to a place along the Delaware River. Blossoms are rose-pink. Seed dries to blackish blue, with a cutshort appearance. Apparently the shellies are a bright navy blue. Intended to be used as a dry bean, or as a shelly bean. Rare. Dut to so many requests, this bean is now very limited in quantity.  15 seeds/packet.  2021 seed.
