Blue Jade Sweet Corn Seeds

A dwarf sweet corn that is great, especially for the North, short seasons or even poor weather. Small 6 – 8 inch cobs have cream to light yellow-colored fresh kernels when ready to eat. Tasty and sweet. Matures to edible stage quite early in the season. As the drying process begins kernels turn a metallic bluish, deep purple lavender that look almost iridescent. I wish now I had tested how long the corn can be eaten before they turned blueish purple, it’s possible that the edible stage extends beyond the pale yellow color. Beautiful, intriguing color. One of the few corns that can grow well in a container. Reliable and hardy. 50 plants produced 2 large pickle jars right full with seed. Stunning production.
