I believe ‘Barry Island’ is the second earliest pole bean to make pods of all the 2025 beans. Such an early and excellent yielding bean variety. Pods are green, quite long, wide and flat characteristic of romano pods. Really excellent pole bean for the North. I received these from my seed collecting friend Russ Crow, and he received them from Canadian grower Annette Barley of Nanaimo, BC in 2016. A really great bean, highly recommended. Excellent Northern choice.
