On growing this bean I was under the impression that it was a dry bean, until it started developing these wonderfully huge green pods! I rechecked my info and indeed this is a fresh eating bean primarily, and impressive it was! Seriously long, thick, tender and meaty green romano type pods. Fantastic table quality. The bean is named for the Italian village from which it came. An old bean, 100+ years old. 20 Seeds/packet
