Bażanowice Semi – Runner Bean Seeds

$5.00

A bean I’m quite excited to have in my collection, I believe the pronunciation in English would be something like ‘Bazanovitse’. This is a landrace from southern Poland, near the border with the Czech Republic. It’s named for its village in the Silesian Foothills in the historical region of Cieszyn Silesia. I’m fairly certain this one has never crossed the ocean to North America until now, and is relatively unknown outside of Poland.  It was a slightly later maturing variety for me, but at the threat of first frost I pulled the vines and dried them under cover. The yield was excellent as was the seed quality.  Many thanks to Artur Kobylecki of Kielce, Poland for sharing this bean with me.  A dry bean.
