A pretty true blue bean from the town of San Bernardo, Italy. A very productive bean, than can be eaten as a snap when young but probably best used dry. The vines produce very well, but tolerate no shade! This bean has also been called ‘San Bernardo Blue’ somewhere along the way unfortunately, but that is not the original name given to it by Joseph Simcox, the man who actually travelled to Italy and brought the variety back to North America. A wonderful variety, thank you Joseph! 2024 seed.
