An African bean I received from a prolific bean grower in Belgium, Guy Dirix. Mr. Dirix had seed of this variety sent to him by Lieven David in 1992 from markets in Zimbabwe and Malawi. This variety is for dry use, and the seeds look like small pink and lavender speckled stones. Really beautiful, and the production of this variety is very, very high. Maturity is very, very early too, even in Northern Ontario. Such a great bean. Rare. 2024 seed.
