A rare longkeeper tomato from Russia, the name translates to mean. ‘Giraffe’. These are very long keeping, and can be stored for a shocking amount of time, at least 6 months or more. The fruits are perfectly round, a yellowy pink color and about the size of a McIntosh apple. These do need to be stored with a bit of space around each fruit, so air can circulate; they get pink where the air can reach. The taste – like most longkeepers – is not sweet, but on the acidic side and still tasting of garden flavor months after being picked. A real gem.
