Tongue of Fire Bush Bean Seeds

Originally collected from the tip of South America, Tierra del Fuego. They made their way to Spain eventually, and then Italy. Delicious tender green beans, splashed with red. This is a good dual purpose bean as the pods are excellent fresh, but the dried beans are substantial and make good cooking beans as well. Dried beans are also known as ‘Borlotto Lingua di Fuoco’. The dried bean of choice for soups in northern Italy.
