Stangenbohne Quedlinburger Speck Pole Bean Seeds

A wonderful heirloom bean from Germany, one of my favourite pole green beans from 2022. The name actually translates to something quite funny if not downright charming ‘Quedlinburg Bacon’. The texture and taste of this bean was absolutely superb, and the production outstanding. I am so glad I tried this bean. The dried seeds are white and tiny, slightly elongated, the pods I would describe on the long side though not hugely so. Total winner. Rare in North America.  Gratefully received from the wonderful collection of Artur Kobylecki, Kielce, Poland.
