Schöne Von Richigen Pole Bean Seeds

This heritage bean variety originates in the Emmental region of Switzerland, near the town of Richigen.  Its story dates to the 1940’s when it was discovered in the wreckage after a hailstorm that damaged many crops.  A dual use bean whose tender green pods are eaten at the fresh stage,  and the seed also used as a dry bean.  Rare.  The name means ‘Beauty of Richigen’.   20 seeds/packet
