Quillquiña Seeds

$4.00

Also known as ‘Bolivian Coriander’ because there is some vague similarity.  I’d say it’s still a long way off. This is an herb with a taste of its own, really. Truth be told, papalo – quillquina’s broad leafed relative – tastes better, but it’s IMPOSSIBLE to save one’s own seed for that where I live. So, this is the next best thing, a thin leaf version of papalo. The taste is close, but not quite the same as papalo. This one is a bit more…. resinous is maybe the best word. If you like coriander you may be able to acclimatize yourself to the flavor. Once you do it can become almost addictive. I adore cilantro but it has such a short summer life, so anything that lasts ALL summer and is even remotely similar has potential to me. On cheesy nachos, I’ll take it, even if in smaller doses. This plant can grow up to 3 feet and will start making seed heads in August and will continue into November in a good year. Easy to grow. 2022 seed.
