Prussian Blue Dry Pea Seeds

$4.00

A German heirloom that was grown by Thomas Jefferson in his Monticello gardens as far back as 1809. It was once widely grown by early settlers in America. The vines grow to about 4 feet, depending on the rain and fertility conditions. The dried seeds are, no surprise, a greenish blue colour and very smooth. It is generally used as a dry pea, but I have read that early settlers also used it as a shelling pea.  2021 seed.
