Inca Pea Pole Bean Seeds

$4.00

I believe this European heritage bean was originally collected in a street market in the town of Inca, in Majorca, Spain. This bean is not historically related to the Inca Empire of Peru and Chile. Inca, Spain is known as the ‘city of leather’ for the long history there with leather making, and is the 3rd largest city in Majorca. Pods mature quite early and the beans may be for dry use, though HSL indicates that they can be eaten as a snap bean as well when young. (Really, that description applies to many, if not most, bean varieties.) The seeds are distinctive, half white and half maroon, with some speckling going on too. Seeds are very round. Attractive seeds. Early.  2022 seed.
