Mitla Black Semi-Runner Bean Seeds

Heirloom bean, semi-runner growth type. Very productive variety for dried black beans. Matures very easily, pods are quite thin and shell easily as well. Handles high heat and moisture very well. An excellent choice for dry bean production. 6 – 8 plants produced just over 1 lb of beans. Sometimes this bean is listed as a tepary type, but I don’t believe this is likely. The plants grew very much like my other P. vulgaris beans. and the seeds are not near as tiny as tepary seeds. I believe this bean may have a Mexican origin given its name, which is a famous archeological site in Oaxaca.
