Melanzana Rossa di Rotonda Eggplant Seeds

A mega producer of handful sized bright orange eggplants with faint green stripes, about the size of a large apple. A small plant can produce a lot of fruit, even in a pot less than 12 inches in size. These are a favourite in the Italian province of Potenza where they are pickled in olive oil or made into a ratatouille type dish. As these were a seed crop for 2022, I didn’t try them, but they looked soooo good. Eggplant is one of my favourite vegetables on earth. They look to me like there is still some wildness in their genes, so they may need to be salted before using, I’m not sure. 2022 seed.
