An heirloom wax bean from Slovenia, quite a rare variety. Pods are substantial size and nice and tender, a lovely wax bean. Vines do not get super tall like some pole beans do, could almost be described as a tall semi-runner. Seeds are marble shaped and shiny black. Mazlenk is the family name of the people preserving this bean, while ‘rumen’ means yellow and ‘visok’ means high so the name translates to the Mazlenk’s yellow climber, or something close. I received this variety from a wonderful seed saver in England. 2024 seed.
